Bragging rights on a moonlit Monday night, week 10 of my run journey!

Hello, my lovelies! ❤️

Monday

Having just passed a ‘washed out’ week, I could not believe my eyes on Monday night when I stepped out of the train station to be met by dry concrete pavements and dry roads!

It was about 7.45pm. I had just come up the escalator and was walking home.

I wondered if I could squeeze in a quickie night time run after dinner.

It seemed like a waste of the dry evening not to get out.

So I had a light dinner, and after an hour or so, I headed out!

As the title reads, I really did feel like bragging after my 4km run. It was under 9mins per klick. Looks like all that ‘running to get out of the rain’ did improve my time significantly 😄

Snapped after my run as I was heading to my block!
4km under 9min/km
Ok, not bad for 9 weeks of running!

Tuesday

On Tuesday, my husband helped me escape the office by picking me up at 6 pm on the dot! The roads were dry, and it had been a ‘rain less ‘ day! We decided to have light beef noodles soup at the nearby hawker centre before driving home.

At about 8.30pm, I headed out for the same 4km route, but at a less crazy pace. It was a cruising 9min klick. It felt so slow I was actually ‘sight seeing’ the scenery I ran past!

Taken from the overhead bridge!

I did not run from Wednesday through Saturday.

Sunday

Then, on Sunday evening, I ran about 4km to complete my week.

Easy 9min pace for 4km
9.5min klicks sandwiching 8.5min klicks! Still managed to finish ‘strong’.

Garmin challenges completed

I also recently checked out my Garmin app and joined a challenge to complete 100,000 steps from 1st to 14th Mar! It was quite easy to earn this badge! I will be joining more challenges and posting about them soon!

Wrap up

Well, that’s all for this post. All I can say at this point is that I’ve run rain or shine, at early mornings, in noonday heat and on moonlit nights! I suppose to adapt myself to run in all kinds of weather would be the best way to enjoy myself!

Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you have read and enjoyed this post! See you all at the next post! 💙 💜 💖 💗 💘

  1. When you start squeezing time for runs randomly, you know you’ve gotten the bug, lol. I enjoy looking at people do this. I follow Cam Hanes, and that guy runs like crazy. It’s the squeezing in part that I enjoy. If he doesn’t reach his daily mileage, he doesn’t make excuses and finds the time to complete it somehow. Makes me want to go on my own run even when I’m tired or done for the day, lol. Keep on keeping on!

  3. I was hit by a wave of nostalgia going through all your Singapore running pictures 😊 Many years ago I was in singapore for work and that is where my own love with running started too. It has the best running paths I must say!
Happy running! And keep the posts coming in!😊

  4. Hello Prachi, thanks for stopping by and glad the pictures brought back some nostalgia for you! There are many more ‘off beaten track’ type of trails I have yet to explore, so look out for them!
